Search for a Business
Most businesses will give you reasons why they’re the best solution for what you want or need. They’ll tell you exactly what they think you want to hear. But we’ve all taken people at face value before and felt disappointed afterward.
BBB wants to make it easier for you to make an informed decision on what business to support in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. That is why we’ve developed the search bar below.
Enter a business or charity name or their phone number, website address, or email address. Alternatively, search for the type of business you need.
As you start typing the name of a business, the search bar will automatically show autocomplete predictions to help you find it faster.
Our search bar can be a valuable tool. Here are some tips to ensure you get the most out of it.
BBB Accreditation helps give consumers confidence that they’re dealing with an ethical and vetted business. Our search tool will show if a company is accredited. You can search for all businesses (accredited and non-accredited) or accredited-only businesses.
Nothing beats looking at customer reviews to determine if a business is a good fit for you. It helps you navigate through the hype.
Personal experience is the best indicator of the quality of a business.
Even the best businesses have dissatisfied customers. However, negative reviews can often be misleading if they’re not based in fact. BBB gives companies the opportunity to respond to customer reviews. If a business does not respond in a timely and constructive manner, that’s a red flag.
If you have experience with a business, leave a review on their profile page. Your review might help others to make a more informed decision.
Unlike customer reviews that have no impact on a business’ letter grade, a customer complaint can affect its grade. Customers are encouraged to file a complaint with BBB when they desire a resolution, and BBB can help them obtain it.
Customer complaints take 30 days or less on average to be processed. Like customer reviews, you can lodge a customer complaint on a business’s profile page.

Get a Quote
It’s super easy to contact a BBB Accredited Business. You can request a quote from most Accredited Businesses by clicking the orange Get a Quote button on their profile page.
Alternatively, you can email or phone them. The profile page has all their contact information. Note that we don’t always have the contact information for businesses that are not BBB accredited.
Search for the Type of Business You Need
Using the search button is an easy way to locate a specific business. But it might also be worthwhile to search for the type of business you need. It can help you find other companies in your area that might be better suited for your needs.
